The Calibre Bossnut would go on to change what people thought a £1000 mountain bike could be, it won ‘Bike of the Year’ 2015 from MBR magazine and came runner up in 2016 also, as well as a string of great reviews from other established mountain bike press.
It’d be easy to sit back on the early success of the Bossnut, but the Calibre team went back to the workshop with one thing on their mind; ‘Can we make this even better?’

So for those of us who haven’t quite managed to get back riding yet, here’s some top tips to get in the saddle and get out there!

Spring might be around the corner but the wet and wintry weather is still lingering on. So with sloppy trails and no end in sight, why not embrace the mud (and maybe even snow) and treat yourself to a fat bike?
Two Wheels Better took a first look at our Dune and a range of customer reviews from the Go Outdoors website to get an idea of whether the Dune is a budget blaster to be reckoned with.
Their verdict? We’re thrilled to see the team at Two Wheels Better were impressed with the look and that it “didn’t feel like a cheap bike” following a quick spin at Mountain Mayhem.

Our highest-priced Bossnut (at less than £1,000 with a discount card) features a spec that pleased the Bike Rumor team and our fat bike, the Dune, was praised for its trimmed down frame to help combat the hefty weight that is often the drawback of fat bikes.
Mountain bike website Factory Jackson recently spoke to Mike Sanderson, the man behind our very own Calibre range, and took a look at some of the bikes we’ve got to offer.
From the sub-£600 Dune fat bike to the full-sus Bossnut at less than £1,000, these hard-hitting rides are sure to leave every mountain biker smiling.
