Family fun at GO Outdoors Manchester

Come and Join in the fun at Manchester’s Urban Exchange GO Outdoors

It’s looking set to be a busy one at the Urban Exchange this weekend, which means that at GO Outdoors Manchester there will be plenty going on for kids and adults alike.

Urban Exchange is the name of the area where GO Outdoors Manchester is situated and this weekend (6th-7th August) there’s plenty of activity going on to entertain shoppers; from a visit to Wonderland, to advice during the Manchester Sky ride.

Saturday 6th August
Thinking of coming to the store to take advantage of the last few days of our Half Price and Less promotion? Well this weekend, why not bring down the little ones? The atrium of Exchange Works will be turned into an all day Mad Hatters Tea Party as Urban Exchange becomes Wonderland for a day. The Alice in Wonderland themed party will go from 10am – 4pm and will feature plenty of entertainment for the kids as well as visits from the Mad Hatter, The White Rabbit and Alice herself.

So while Mum or Dad hunts out a great deal on tents or camping equipment, the little ones could be getting their face painted with a whole host of Alice in Wonderland characters including: The Doormouse, White Rabbit, and the Cheshire Cat while they pig out on tea, cupcakes and drinks (while they last!). Don’t worry about the parking either, there’s 3 hours for free, so plenty of time for a good look around.

Sunday 7th August
Forget a day of rest, because on Sunday the fantastic Skyride event comes to Manchester. During the event, 20,000 cyclists are expected to descend upon Manchester city centre and during this event Urban Exchange retail park will be offering a Park n Ride, with free all day parking at the Port Street Car Park.

Sky Ride is a great event which closes down roads to cars and encourages people to get back on the their bikes, the event is a great way to see Manchester City Centre at your own pace alongside thousands of other cyclists. As the route comes by our Manchester store, why not stop off because between 9am – 4pm our staff will be offering out free Bike advice if you have any questions about taking cycling a little more seriously.

Not only this but around the store you’ll find entertainment from a Cycle circus entertainer, as well as free cycle snack energy packs (subject to availability) being handed out also. Oh, and did we mention that our new neighbours Pure Gym will be offering free spinning class taster sessions for those thinking of getting fit.

GO Outdoors are happy to be taking part in this weekends fantastic family events, and we hope you’ll come and pay us a visit and get involved in some of the fun
