Muddy running shoes & paws – Amy Trollope

Amy’s venture into Canicross

Picture a sport where you run through amazing forests in the UK attached to your dog. Sledding but without the sled. This is Canicross, canine cross-country.

August bank holiday weekend we set off to the borders of Scotland with our hi gear Gobi 4 tent for the first competition of the season. The easy-to-setup tent became our cosy home for the weekend; bravely enduring rain, boggy ground, muddy running shoes, and four muddy paws. Pleased to say that it survived (and so did we). It can deal with the elements, and is family and dog friendly, especially as the sewn-in groundsheet ensured that the dog couldn’t escape.

The numerous windows meant that we could shelter from the rain but still enjoy the view of the mountains at the same time.

This tent was an invaluable item, and I would highly recommend it. Now to see how it copes with snow at Christmas…
