Our brand-new Go Outdoors Store in Derby is now open!
Former Toys-R-Us, situated on Wyvern Way, our new Derby Go store is the perfect place to shop for all your outdoor needs! Whatever outdoor activity your into, whether it’s walking, camping, cycling, horse riding or fishing, we have all the clothing, accessories and equipment you need!
On Saturday 18th June we held our grand opening, where hundreds of our lovely customers joined us to cut the ribbon. We wanted to celebrate in style and that’s exactly what we did! With a special celebrity guest, free gift cards, goody bags, live music, prizes up for grabs and entertainment for the kids, I’m sure you can agree we did this well!

What’s in Store at Derby?
Our new Derby store is full of all the gear you’d expect from GO Outdoors. We have all of our flagship GO Camping, Walking, Cycling and Climbing departments, as well as introducing Naylors Equestrian and Fishing Republic into the mix for all you horse riders and avid anglers out there! As always, we offer unbeatable brands at unbeatable prices!
We also have plenty of facilities available in-store, such as our spectacular tent display, so you can a up close view of your new outdoor home before you buy. Plus, we have our fantastic bike repair service desk and bike servicing station, for if you need any work done to your wheels.
Celebrity Guests
To cut the ribbon and open our fabulous new store, we invited TV presenter and outdoor enthusiast Julia Bradbury to join us! A passionate advocate for nature and outdoor adventure, Julia is best known for her presenting roles on the BBC One programme ‘Countryfile’, ‘The Greek Islands with Julia Bradbury’ & ‘Cornwall and Devon Walks with Julia Bradbury’.
She is also ambassador of one of our unbeatable brands, Peter Storm. From hiking the length and breadth of our glorious UK, to travelling the globe, Julia 100% loves getting outdoors. She strongly promotes positive wellbeing and supports many great causes on mental health and breast cancer. We’re so thrilled to see such an inspirational person with an authentic passion for the outdoors team up with Peter Storm! Julia did an amazing job in meeting and greeting fans, participating in the Q&A session, and joining us in the celebration of our store opening!
Fun for All at Go Outdoors Derby
To entertain our customers, we had a whole range of activities including a climbing wall, balloons, face painting and sweets for the kids, as well as unlimited free tea and coffee for the adults! And the fun doesn’t stop there, we had a live DJ to get the party started and gave out gift cards, goody bags, and some fantastic prizes from our raffle draw!
