Helen Skelton, our North Ridge brand ambassador, has taken us on a journey through her greatest day spent in the outdoors; and what a pleasure it is to see!
She travelled up to Grasmere in the Lake District, one of her favourite spots for outdoor adventure, to tell us about her love for the outdoors and her childhood growing up in Cumbria.

Helen tells us what she loves about the outdoors: “I think for me, I enjoy the challenge. I enjoy feeling the burn in my lungs and the burn in my legs. I think it feels like a reward going to the top of the hill. It’s hard work getting there but when you get up there and there’s a view, you feel like you’ve earnt it”
Growing up on a farm, Helen has been surrounded by the outdoors and nature since a very young age. She’s sustained this passion not only in her lifestyle, but throughout her career too. Known for presenting Blue Peter and BBC’s Countryfile, Helen has continued to inspire us with her love for adventure and the outdoors.
