Golden Pebble Worth £500 Still Missing
PEBBLES worth £1,050 are still hiding in Ferry Meadows Country Park after the GO for Gold Treasure Hunt weekend finished with 11 stones still to be found.
Treasure hunters enjoyed a lovely weekend at the local nature attraction searching for 50 pebbles, each of which were worth £50 in GO Outdoors gift vouchers.
The event was held to launch our new 30,000 sq ft store on Saville Road and two of the pebbles were painted gold and worth £500 in gift vouchers to a local school, youth group or charity.
Alpha Kindergarten in Peterborough will receive a £500 donation after manager Nick Douglas found Saturday’s golden pebble.
But Sunday’s star prize has still not been claimed and below you can see a teasing clue of its hiding place to help hunters find the prize and support a local good cause.
Mr Douglas says the £500 prize will enable children at Alpha Kindergarten to enjoy the outdoors more often and in much more comfort. He commented: “It was an excellent day at Ferry Meadows and I’m so happy to have found a golden pebble, which will be a great benefit to the children. We will probably buy waterproof overalls and wellies and also a shelter for when we go on trips.”
The nursery and after school club in Weiman Road, Peterborough, is attended by 89 children, ranging from three months up to 12-years-old.
