The National Trust Collection by Vango
Camping is unbeatable. Whether you’re looking for a tranquil escape, space to have fun with the family, or seeking a weekend break from work, sleeping under the stars has it all! And now, thanks to an exciting new collaboration between Vango and the National Trust, you can camp outdoors in gear you know is kinder to the planet.
The coming together of Vango (the UK’s leading camping brand), and the National Trust, (Europe’s largest conservation charity), to create a recycled plastic camping collection is big news! The exciting new range, launching exclusively at GO Outdoors this year, includes eco-friendly tents and sleeping bags manufactured from recycled materials. Check out this video showcasing the new eco-friendly collection.
Vango have always been passionate about protecting the great outdoors. The tents and camping gear offer trusted Vango performance. The new collection of sustainable tents and sleeping bags created in collaboration with the National Trust uses a new Sentinel Eco™ fabric which incorporates recycled PET plastic bottles salvaged from waterways, streets and landfill. The sleeping bags use a fully recycled filling, again made from used plastic bottles that are reprocessed and transformed into a polyester fill.
Vango are also known for recycling or refurbishing to extend the life of products and components. This sustainable collection keeps the environment at the forefront, recycling some of the plastic bottle waste we see impacting our planet into quality camping products. What’s more, the tents and sleeping bags are patterned with a striking oak leaf repeat print which is inspired by the pattern carved into the first property the National Trust took into its care in 1896, Alfriston Clergy in East Sussex. To this day the oak leaf is an instantly recognisable motif of the charity, and is guaranteed to turn heads at the campsite.
Through sales of the collection, Vango will contribute a minimum of £20,000 to help the National Trust look after nature, beauty and history for everyone, for ever. The range includes four tents and two eco-fill sleeping bags. Let’s take a peek…
