Is camping still one of Britain’s most favourite pastimes?Â
When we mention camping, what is your first thought? Cold and rainy nights in the middle of nowhere, longing for a hotel bed? Or a fantastic family getaway in some beautiful scenery?
At GO Outdoors we’ve noticed a rise in the amount of people taking up camping in the last few years, and we wanted to know what inspired these new campers to get out there. We asked over 2800 campers a selection of questions to find out what really makes the Great British camper tick, here is what we found out:
Camping is one of the most popular and cost effective ways to enjoy a ‘staycation’ (holidaying at home) and it’s easy to see why when you can fill up the car and head off for a weekend, or a week, and enjoy some of the fantastic scenery that the UK has to offer.
